7. The GDE and Coaching versus Instruction
This webinar focuses on how to strike a balance between coaching and instruction. It explores the importance of addressing the higher levels of the GDE through coaching and also coaching to develop self-evaluation skills across all four levels of the GDE. |

8. The GDE and Visualisation
In this webinar Sharon has a fear of driving on unfamiliar roads especially in the dark. She goes away with a task of visualising herself successfully joining the dual carriageway - and comes back being able to do it. Visualisation helps develop self-evaluation skills and is a great technique for addressing the highest level of the GDE. |

9. The GDE, Reference Points and Real Life
This webinar looks at the use of reference points when teaching manoeuvres and compares this to developing the pupil's ability to judge space and distance for themselves. With coaching and client-centred learning we believe that learning comes from within. Imposing reference points on somebody before they have had chance to have a go themselves, interferes with their natural judgement processes. Lucy did far better at the left reverse when she was allowed to develop her own judgement skills than when she was taught reference points by her previous instructor. |
