Active Listening
This is the second in a series of five that focuses on five essential coaching / communication skills. This time it is Listening. Today I look at five different levels of listening. Only the highest levels are useful for client-centred learning. Listening is an essential communication skill because it ensures that we remain on the client's agenda and work with them to help them understand how their thoughts and feelings affect their behaviour. This develops self-evaluation skills that will help them make safer decisions and choices when driving unsupervised. |
