1. An Overview of the Goals for Driver Education
This webinar provides an overview of the Goals for Driver Education by discussing the content of the four levels:
2. The GDE and self-evaluation
This webinar focuses, in particular, on the importance of developing self-evaluation skills in learner drivers in order to help them stay safe on the roads post-test. It shows how Rob recognised that the strengths and limitations he has in his everyday life are reflected in the decisions he makes when driving. The key to safe driving is to know ourselves well and develop coping strategies to manage the risks. |
3. The GDE and raising self-awareness
This next webinar looks at the importance of developing self-awareness in young drivers. When 1 in 5 newly qualified drivers is involved in a serious crash within the first 250 miles of driving post-test, improving their understanding of their strengths and weaknesses and how their emotions affect their behaviour, is critical. We know that the ability to identify and then reflect on a 'near-miss' helps build strategies to avoid something similar happening again, and that reduces the risk of being involved in a crash. |
